School Communication:

Email the faculty and staff: Please allow two days for faculty and staff to respond to your emails. If you have not received a response after this window has passed, please send a gentle reminder email. Faculty and staff information emails: Throughout the school year you will receive regular informational emails from the principal, your child's teachers and our parent coordinator.

​

ALMA: Access your child’s past and current grades, and access their daily schedule here on ALMA our easy to use, online grade management system. Parent access to ALMA is managed by our parent coordinator.  Student access to ALMA is managed by the technology coordinator.

‘What’s Happening’ blog:  Read our teachers’ blog 'What’s Happening' . This monthly blog gives insight into what your child is studying in their academic classes. You will receive an email notification when an update has been posted.

IS289 Website: Visit our website regularly for up to date information. Check the  ‘News and Announcements’  section for upcoming events and notices.

 

Academic Information Evenings: Attend the school academic information evenings such as curriculum night and class culmination events. You will be notified of these events by email and in our Newsletter so please read our emails! Check your child’s folder regularly for backpack mail.

 

Attend parent/teacher conferences: We hold parent teacher conferences twice every year. See the IS289 calendar to find out when our next conferences will take place.

PTA Communication

​

Weekly PTA Newsletter: Our newsletter is emailed to our community every Sunday evening. It gives a complete summary of all important IS289 school information, updates and dates of events. To receive the newsletter and our emails complete this contact information form

PTA emails: The PTA sends out regular email reminders for events and will keep you updated on all IS289 happenings. All you have to do is sign up to receive emails (and then read them!). Sign up for emails by completing the contact information form above.

PTA meetings: We hold monthly general PTA meetings, usually on the 3rd Friday of each month, 8.30am in the library. Click here to see exact PTA meeting  dates. If you want to stay in the know and have your say, please attend our meetings and get involved!

Class Parents: Your class parents will also contact you via email with important information and notices. You can also email them for more class information or questions.
