Our Approach

IS 289 provides a nurturing and challenging environment where teachers encourage students to cultivate their best intellectual, artistic and emotional selves. Our curriculum fosters hard work, determination and resilience in the classroom balanced with teaching concepts that stimulate critical thinking, acting with principle and acquiring knowledge through inquiry. In addition, our flexible use of time and space stimulates collaborative work resulting in the invaluable reward of working and achieving as an academic team.
