IS 289 Direct Appeal 2022-2023
We need your support, and here's why ...
Department of Education funding leaves gaps in our school's budget. In this climate of huge budget cuts, the PTA works to fill those gaps, support professional development for teachers, and enrich the education of each child at IS 289.
Each year the PTA commits to funding a variety of services for staff and materials for students. After years of canceled fundraisers due to the pandemic, the Direct Appeal is our largest fundraising campaign to help achieve this goal. Over 60% of PTA revenue comes from the Direct Appeal.
The Direct Appeal benefits ALL children at IS 289. Due to budget cuts, the money we raise is used to pay for supplies for classes, technology for students, professional development programs for teachers and staff, library books, and so much more.
No amount is too small (or too big!). Please give any amount that is comfortable and meaningful for your family. We are striving for 100% participation and we accept donations by cash, check or credit card as a one-time or monthly payment.
